Our Baby is growing up...

First off the picture shoot went AWESOME!! I took 160 pictures and have it narrowed down to 60 LOL........We shot for 4 hours... It was so much fun though and granted we spent part of that time traveling thru fields, cow pastures, and trying to catch a sheep! She is such a country girl.. :) I am messing with them in photoshop a bit and then I'll post my favorites.

The photos were done for my cousin's oldest daughter. They also have a 16 year old DD, Bailey and a 11 year old son.. My Kinzley LOVES Bailey. She has talked about her all summer long. How Bailey told her about Africa (WHAT?????) How Bailey took her on the trampoline, How Bailey takes her to get eggs, (which she told me, she wasn't going to be scared of the chickens this time, she was going to shoot them and grab theirs eggs---She absolutly cracks me up!!!) She even talked about Bailey all the way to Canada. I knew we need to get her a Bailey fix. Turns out my mom is heading that way the next day so Kinzley is able to spend the night with Bailey.

UGHHHH Her first real overnight stay... She has only stayed with my Mom, and Tim's Grandparents. Both of who live within 10 minutes and it's just different when it's your immediate family. Granted this was still family but more importantly it was Kinzley staying with her friend. How is this possible? She is starting school in a month, staying at people's houses... Next thing you know I am going to be taking HER senior pictures.. That is enough to make me sick to my stomach...

BUT I woke up extra early knowing Kenna got to bed late and I have at least a few hours OF PEACE! No one to need milk, or cartoons, or a certain little 3 year old bouncing on my bed saying "What.are.we.going.to.do.today????" Hopefully I can list a couple new necklace and photoshop some pictures before Kenna girl wakes up.. Oh and I should call and check on Kinz and call my mom and see what time she is picking my baby up! I really am excited for her, I just want her back too..I'm sure all you mothers reading understand this perfectly.

Big Day around here....

They are suppose to come dig our basement today!! One step closer!

Also this afternoon I am making my photography debut. I'm taking my cousin's senior pictures out at their farm. I KNOW it will be fine. They have the perfect backgrounds and she is beautiful.. And it's not like I can't redo them if they don't turn out good.. But I'm SOOO nervous.. I'm just such a perfectionist and want them to look like those cool ones in the studio.. I do have photoshop so I can play with them at home and add the cool effects. It's just nervewracking!

I am not shooting her until 3pm so I have to wait allllll day LOL And it's suppose to be in the 90's so maybe it will cool off by then (a little)

And when we come home I had best had a giant hole in my yard!!!
Who knows I might give you a peek at the photos if any turn out :)

I'm homeless!

Who knew I'd be excited LOL The house movers are finally here. 5 days late but hey I'll take it. We sold our home so we could dig a basement and put a modular house on top. We are currently living on the same acreage in my husbands grandparents home. Which is filled to the brim with glass breakables. So much fun with a 15 month old. (eye roll)

Our new house is suppose to be in the first to second week in August and they were suppose to come dig the basement yesterday. Needless to say that didn't get done beings that there was still a house sitting there.

I can't wait for our new place, for a ton of reasons, one being I will have my own jewelry studio! This is HUGE since I currently use our kitchen table. Which also doesn't work well with Kenna. Plus it's so hard to pack up everything and I end up leaving it our making our dining room seem messy. It goes without saying we don't really have a table to eat at!

Hopefully with the house gone things will fall in place in a hurry and we get move out of this antique store we are living in.

A New Blog------A New Design

I thought since I just started this blog it was only fitting to show my newest design here first. It's ready to go but not to list. I swear listing is almost as much work as making the actual jewelry.

M y first blog post!

Let me introduce myself a little..
My name is Shawna. I am a stay at home mama to our two girls, Kinzley and  Kenna. I have been married to my high school sweetheart Tim for the past 6 years although we dated for 6 years before that! I have spent almost half my life with that man and I love him more today than the day we met. There is something about watching the guy you love fall in love with these 2 precious souls we were blessed to be given.

Our girls make our world go round (and round and round and round) because they NEVER stop. I really think it was a poor design on God's part to given children so much energy and us parents so little.
Our oldest Kinzley will turn 4 the end of August. She starts preschool a couple weeks later. She is beyond ready. Her birthday falls super close to the cut off so she could have started last year but we decided to keep her back so she will start Kindergarden in 2009 vs. 2008. Some people don't understand that decision we made. But hey we feel like we are getting a free year with her. I can't imagine her not being with me even for a few hours a morning twice a week. She is one of those people who are larger than life. She constantly cracks us up with her dancing, her eye rolling, her sense of humor. She thinks she knows everything already so her poor teacher is in for it.

Kenna girl is almost 16 months. She also thinks she can do anything and needs no help from her parents. She is a ham! Already she has a look she can give that gets whatever she wants. She makes "eyes" at people in the store and then grins this HUGE grin at them. She is either very smiley or very serious. When she is anaylzing something there is no breaking her concentration. Recently we took a trip to my husband's Grandparents resort in Canada. Across the lake, airplanes take off and she was obessed with them. She'd wrinkle her little forehead and get all serious, all the while pointing up to the sky. She does love her motors, airplanes, cars, riding lawn mowers, whatever.... If you are going for a ride, she is going too.
As I'm sure you can imagine having an at home business with 2 small children isn't always easy. There just aren't enough hours in the day for me to get everything done. I have tons of ideas in my head at all times and such a limited time to get them done. Who knows maybe Kenna will still be taking morning naps when Kinz is in school and I will have TWO HOURS ALONE!!! :)

That's all I have time for now, the girls are calling my name!

Until next post, Shawna
