Are you FREAKING....KIDDING.....ME???

What is it with my children this week?? They have been so naughty (and LOUD) I can't get a thing done b/c they keep getting in trouble.

Mostly Kenna (again) The morning started by me taking off her wet pajama bottoms to find she had unhooked her diaper and it was around her ankles, inside her pants. Which explains the wet pants. I put a diaper on her and give the girls peanut butter toast. Then I sneak into the bathroom (alone GASP) It's not even 3 minutes she comes in with the open jar of peanut butter in one hand and a fist full of PB in the other. She must have dug in when she was in the kitchen and touched every possible surface on her quest to find me.

An hour later (if that) Kinzley comes in yelling, ya might want to see this. She had taken off her diaper and pooped. Great just great. She had never done this before and Kinz maybe did it once. It's just not something that's real common around here.. So gross..

A little more time goes by. The girls are under my bed (torturing the cat) Kinzley kicks out a tub that has craft supplies in it. Kenna sees it and digs in

Notice the super proud look on her face..

That was pretty much my entire day.. One thing after another.. I can't wait for tomorrow. My neice comes and she watches the girls.. Maybe she can keep a better eye on them than I do. LOL

It snowed today-which is 100% magic in the girls eyes-I just keep thinking not all winter will be this bad.. right???? Promise me it won't be. If we would have had any alcohol in the house, I'm sure Tim would have come home to a very drunk wife. :) Instead I called my brother and told him to bring something good for a little Thanksgiving appetizer.

I know I said it in my last post but Happy Thanksgiving to you all...

Diaper Rash anyone?

Evidently Kenna thinks so...

I am working on templates this morning, chatting on the phone while Kinzley was at school. Kenna comes in the living room and grabs her plush Dora chair and takes it into her room.....and shuts the door..... (That should have been my first indication that she was going to be getting in trouble) I kind of look at her a little funny, thinking how cute she was carrying this chair that was as big as she is.

THEN.....

Being preoccupied I didn't give another thought to what on earth she needed that chair for until she comes out of her room laughing the signature Kenna laugh that goes something like auuugh, haaaa, haaa, haaaa.. It's almost a little evil but just cracks us up every time.. I smile when I hear her until she says TADA and I look up..

This is what I see

Notice the grin SOOOO big her eyes are closed. You might be asking what is all over her face.. Desitin! And if you have ever applied this diaper cream you know it's not the easiest thing to get off. So obviously I run and grab the camera. When I get back this is what I see

I guess she thought her baby needed a little more cream. The girl just LOVES her babies!

She was so darn proud of herself. And not that I told her but she was pretty darn smart to get the Dora chair so she was tall enough to reach in the drawer to grab the cream. A little premeditated if you ask me.

Oh yeah and if you notice the scab on her face, that is from this weekend when she fell down the garage steps and face planted into the new cement.. This child keeps me on my toes for sure. She is one of two reasons I have all these designs in my head and not enough time to get them all out.

I just want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. Lord knows I have so many things to be thankful for, one being a 19 month old baby girl who is taking care of her baby doll and 4 year old who cracks me up daily. Tonight we are watching "The Biggest Loser" and the contestants got makeovers.

She says to herself "Well she is very stylish" WHAT?? Where on earth did she hear that? I don't understand how I get to be so blessed to be their mommy but boy am I ever glad I am..

Have a great holiday!

We just might get this house done yet

We are getting closer to having my studio done.. Every single weekend we spend Fri, Sat, and Sun working in the basement trying to get it finished. In the past 3 weekends we have put up 180 sheets of pine boards, installed 5 doors(handles included, installed trim in the living area.
Plus I drywalled.. If you haven't done this before, pass on it. I HATE it! It took 3 days to hang the first room.. Needless to say we got much better and the second bedroom only took a few hours. :) I have spent all week taping, and sanding. I really wasn't looking forward to the sanding but it's going better than I thought it would. My studio needs sanded by the window and it's ready to roll the drywall on and then I can PAINT!!! We had a guy come measure for carpet today and hopefully it will be installed soon. Thru this building process I have lost ALL faith in people. We have had one hell of a time getting contractors to show up. It's really unbelieveable and unlike anything we have ever seen before. I mean seriousally we started this house thing in JULY! Contractors we going home early because of the heat and now they are in stocking hats and they are calling for fricken snow! Yeah that can't happen. The garage has no door. (and just got built in the past 2 weekends) The garage isn't sided at all and about 1/4 of the house still needs sided. WHY you ask? Because we hired my best friend's FIL to do the excavating and he hasn't showed up to back fill, hence why there is no siding. 3 weeeks ago HE CALLED US to tell us he would be here the next day.. Haven't seen him since!
The basement Tim and I have busted butt on and just about everything is done BUT the bathroom. WHY??? Because we can't get the plumber to show up to hook up the toilet, shower or sink. We can't drywall until it's ready so we are stuck.. I SWEAR I don't know why I make jewelry, I should be a contracter, they don't work when it's cold, hot, sunny, or cloudy. Yet they still want paid.. UGH!!

This is really just the tip of the iceberg and I am not sure how I got here :) This house is consuming our lives. Tim and I have a really strong marriage to start with and we are definetly being tested. We are both so tired of working so long and hard all the time, that we are short with eachother. It's no wonder so many divorces happen over new houses being built. We're going to make it but sometimes I wonder what we got ourselves into. :)

Anyways the whole point was to say I am so excited to finally have a place to make my designs in that is all mine (and not the kitchen table!!!) Kenna is just to much help these days.

Speaking of jewelry, I probably should go make something. If I can get up and stay awake :)

How fun are these???

I have been dying to get these next two things done. They have both been on my list forEVER it seems.

The first is a Photo Sun Catcher.. OMG!!! They turned out so fricken cute. When the sun shines thru them they make the softest warmest glow. It reminds me God's light shining thru my girls.. Makes me feel good.

It sold the first time out on Ebay and it's listed on etsy now. It's the perfect Christmas gift for all those hard to buy for people on your list this year.

My next design that I finally gotten done is my copper soldered pendant.

LOVE how it turned out. LOVE IT! I have no clue where I got these beads so this will be a OOAK. I have it listed on ebay but am thinking if it doesn't sell I might just keep it. LOL

I'm telling ya, it's even better in real life.

After making this one pendant, I know have a whole list of other copper pendant designs, I am chomping at the bit to make.

Well since I posted twice tonight (I know it's amazing) I better stop for now. I'll have to give an update soon on my studio. Slowly but surely it's coming along. Not quick enough for me but it's making progress..

Matching Christmas Jewels

I have seen all those super cute outfits being made by all you super talented clothing designers and I knew I needed to make some jewels that would match just about every outfit. It has every color possible-pink, red, light and dark green, teal, blue, the list goes on and on.
I am just lovin' the funky colored Christmas outfits and since I can't sew to save my life, this is my contribution!
