{ Some Girl Funnies }

It's been a while since I posted the crazy things the girls say and do.

Don't worry there is never a shortage of laughs, I just can't keep up with them all.

Tim delivers truck parts for a living. He drives a van approx. 400 miles a day. Last week he drove it home and Kinzley went running out to him. She sees the front of the van and says "Oh Dad! Look at all the crashed butterflies!!!"

Later that same night she called me outside to see a 'sea turtle.' I was making supper so I didn't go out right away (and let's face it, we all know there was no sea turtle in our driveway in Iowa)
When I do go out I see a baby snapping turtle on the driveway. I'm not sure where it came from (maybe the dog??) however it was dead. I explain to them it's not alive and it's up with Jesus. Later I overhear Kinz telling my niece she had a story for her but it ends badly. That it is a very very sad story.

And not to be outdone Kenna is right there with her on the laughs. We went to a wedding this weekend and I had more people come up to me and ask if she ever slows down. She had grabbed 2 cupcakes off the table before the bride and groom cut the cake. Thank goodness she had cupcakes. At my brother's wedding she drug her finger thru the frosting on the individual pieces. Later she was on a table crawling across to get some mints. She is in the bathroom, on the dance floor, trying to get outside, back to the bathroom.. I'm surprised she never ended up in the kitchen.

I swear Kenna and I think on two different wave lengths. We go to go somewhere and we branch off in different directions. Then we stand around and look around thinking "Where did she go?" I can't even tell you how many times we lost each other at the reception. When she finds me she is so excited saying "Dere you are momma." like it has been weeks since she last saw me.

But my favorite Kenna story of the week is when we were at my sister's house. She had went into the bathroom to go potty and I had forgotten she was in there. I walk past the shut door and I can hear this......... whoo, whooo, who who whoooo.. I open the door and see the outside packaging and the cotton part of a tampon on the floor and see the two applicator tubes in my daughter's hands. She grins at me and says "Watch me momma" and proceeds to blow air thru them making music. And boy was she ever proud....

People say she is always on the go... They have no idea....

{ Kenna + Gunner }

Kenna has started calling Gunner either 'baby' or 'honey.' She'll say "oh honey, come here honey boy' She then proceeds to let me daily "he is a boy not a grill." She carries him around everywhere much to his dislike. She makes him sit on her lap to watch tv and she reads him books.

She has even started making him dance with her.

{ What a day! }

Ya know those days that you look back on and wonder how on earth you made it?

I had one of those today. It actually started last night after I get home from a high school football game of my nephew's. He is playing with a broken finger, an infection on his face and is black and blue from head to toe. During this game he hurts his knee and cuts his arm open. For the life of me I don't understand why you would want to play this sport. In the meantime my other nephew managed to get himself in a pile of trouble. By the time I make it home I am worried about both of them and ready for bed.

BUT I try and get on the internet first. I am having a heck of a time with it. I finally am able to stay signed on only to find out a design I had made for a customer has gotten lost in the mail and didn't get given as a gift when promised. I'm not even going to get started on the frustration I have with the mail system at the moment. Let's just say I HATE promising something will be recieved and then it doesn't show up. Needless to say I didn't get a great night sleep and that wasn't even figuring in on Gunner who thinks my hair is toy in the middle of the night.

Then this morning I have a headache and have my two girls plus the 2 boys I watch a few days a week. So 4 kids 5 and under. 4 kids who were not on their best behavior today. 4 kids who each had at least one trip to time out. 4 LOUD kids!

After they leave, my girls and I go to town. I have been trying to find a certain bead for a few weeks. And when I say that, I mean I have been having my husband stop at different bead stores on his route to look for me. Finally I decide in order to finish this design I am going to have to get them myself. And when I say myself I mean, the girls and I.

Now in case you ever have the chance to take a 2 year old into a bead store where beads are sorted into compartments on tables, pass on that.... It's even less fun than it sounds.

But I had no clue what we were in for today.

As we walk up to the front of the store I notice 2 older women inside looking at the floor. I don't think much of it, open the door and start to lead the girls into the store only to have 2 yorkies run out! Scared the three of us to death! Evidently they were the owners dogs that run around the store.. (Am I the only one who finds this a little odd??? ) But I'm a dog lover and I know if Tim had the chance he would take our dogs to work so I don't think much of it.

I am counting out beads (which I finally found what I was hunting) and the two dogs run at Kenna and one of them grabs her shirt and pulls it, then nips her hand. Even as I type this, I am speechless.... I mean really what does one say to that?!?!??!?

Luckily she was fine. She didn't even cry but I felt terrible my poor daughter is getting attacked by someone else's dog in a bead store! The owner comes over grabs the dog says "HUM, I don't know what got into her," puts her in the kennel, asks if Kenna is ok and goes back to her customers. A few minutes later she gets the dog out and brings her over to Kenna (who wants NOTHING to do with this dog) and says "Lucy you tell this little girl you are sorry" Now I don't know about you but my dogs don't talk.... I'm assuming this was her apoligy since the owner never did say it. The girls walk to the opposite end of the store since Kinz found a bead Kenna HAD TO SEE.

Guess what happens next?

Those dogs come running thru the entire store and the bigger one jumps on Kenna, growls at her and goes to bite her. Luckily I was able to grab her in time. The owner yells for her mom to come get the "good" dog and she puts the "naughty" dog back in the kennel. Which for the life of me I can't figure out WHY the dog who JUST BIT MY KID was let out of the kennel to begin with?!?!?

Now Kenna won't let me put her down so I just grab what I had and we check out. No apoligy, no discount, nothing to act like this was abnormal at all.

I am floored.. I mean honestly. Not once did her dog try and attack my daughter but TWICE! Tell me how this is ok.. And you better believe she won't see me again. (I'll send my husband in) KIDDING!

We then hit a couple thrift stores while waiting for Tim to get off work. By this time the girls are past tired so he takes them home and I go to get groceries. I am walking across the parking lot trying to drop everything in my purse and a car come out of no where and about hits me. I felt the air go by and then he gives ME a dirty look. Talk about scary.

So I high tailed it out of there and came home. It's a crazy crazy world out there. I hope tomorrow is better or I may not make it thru. it..... let alone poor Kenna.....

{ Busy Busy Busy }

It seems I am being a bit of a blog slacker. I am still having a hard time staying signed on the internet. But I am finding the less time I have for the computer the more work I am getting done.

{ Fairy Godmother }

I have a certain way I do things at my house. Every single thing in my house has a place. It's what keeps my house organized. I have a routine and like things to be done in a certain way. So when my husband decides to do a load of laundry (if you can call washing every single shoe he owns laundry) He does this every once in a while much to my despair. Then he thinks he needs to put them ALL in the dryer-Imagine the sound!!! Let alone the fact that BROKE my last dryer.. Thank goodness he doesn't do laundry often.. He is actually banned from washing clothes since he thinks towels and shirts can be washed together.

The point is when he decided to wash his shoes, he threw all my clean laundry on top of the dryer. UGH I hate this.. I have a laundry routine! And let's just say no part of it involves clean laundry on my dryer. Of course I don't realize this until 10:00 o'clock last night but figured I might as well fold it quick. One thing led to another and I end up cleaning Kinzley's toys off her floor after putting her laundry away. (Yes, in the dark while she was sleeping in the bedroom) One thing leads to another and I end up throwing in another load of laundry, sweeping the kitchen floor, and cleaning the toys up in the basement. I normally make the girls pick up their own things for the most part but since I was on a roll, I thought I'd just do it for them. While I am cleaning I am thinking "They are going to be so happy when they wake up and realize everything is clean."

Then it dawns on me...

They aren't going to care. They aren't going to remember they left a mess. They aren't going to realize I just cleaned so THEY didn't have to.. They aren't going to appreciate me at all.

Then I get to thinking how rough it must be to go to sleep, wake up and have a clean house. Do you know how many times I have left the house and thought PLEASE let my house be clean when I get home! It hasn't happened yet!! I mean can you imagine that?????

They don't know how good they have it...

Where is my fairy Godmother????

{ Not everyone }

{ Missin' you }

The other day I was hiding under my bed from Kenna.. (hey! Don't look at me like that!!!)

I hear her walking thru the house saying "Momma, momma" which wasn't quite enough to make me get out until I hear

this..........

'Momma,I missin' you momma'

I hit my head on the bed frame in my hurry to come out and snuggle my girl...

That almost makes up for the times she does things like......

when she is suppose to be cleaning her room and I find her in her closet like this....

Photobucket

or when I hear her telling the little boy I watch to 'come here little buddy' and see this....

Life is never dull with Kenna around!
