A morning filled with easter baskets, an indoor early morning Easter egg hunt, church to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord, time with friends and family, and the annual outdoor egg hunt after church.
However there wasn't much of a egg hunt when we got home from church this year.
Instead we come home to this,

At first glance our yard looks like lots of yards on Easter morning,
But
I had seen where Tim had put the eggs in the yard. I knew he didn't just drop them all in one spot.
I walked over to them and see...

It didn't take me long to figure out 'someone' had a little Easter egg hunt while we were gone. He even ate the candy out of each egg.
The thief wasn't overly sneaky. Actually he was quite proud of himself, even showing off his new trick for the camera.

Gunner managed to find each and every egg, carried them to the front yard where he cracked them in two and ate the candy, wrapper and all.
Good candy. Snickers, mini cadbury eggs, reese's peanut butter cups.
Later when Tim mentioned he didn't think Gun felt that well I didn't feel sorry for him in the least.
On a seperate note...
I took a few pictures of the girls after church.

Keeping it real...
it was evidently a little chilly for the 7 and under crowd and I was lucky we managed any decent Easter pictures. I got quite a few of these instead. { Even Kinz just looked at this photo and said "I look terrible!" ;)

We re-hide eggs, ate to much food, did a mini photo shoot of someone who doesn't get her photo taken often {photos coming later}, played Just Dance and had a mini contest using spoons.

All the while being so incredibly thankful for a God who not only sent His Son to die for us but who sent Him to rise again!!!
In church we were blessed with a duet with one of my favorite songs, Glorious Day. These lyrics keep running through my head all day.
One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain
One day they nailed Him to die on a tree
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He
Hands that healed nations, stretched out on a tree
And took the nails for me
One day the grave could conceal Him no longer
One day the stone rolled away from the door
Then He arose, over death He had conquered
Now He’s ascended, my Lord evermore
Death could not hold Him, the grave could not keep Him
From rising again
Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He’s coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day
What a glorious day that will be indeed!!!
